Note: There is no special configuration or setup required to enable a shared app domain. The sample code for this one is pretty lengthy, so head over to the Github repo to view the full example. Call static methods on types defined in your hosting application.Instantiate class object instances in the script (for types defined in your hosting application).Send real (not serialized) class object instances defined in your hosting application as parameters into a script.NET app domain as your calling application, you can do the following: Since a hosted PowerShell runspace lives in the same. One final example I created explores the shared. / Contains functionality for executing PowerShell scripts. This is helpful if we need to monitor things other than pipeline output, like Write-Host/Write-Information. We also watch for three of the other output streams (warning, error, and information). It also allows us to import modules for each runspace used, configure thread re-use options, or specify remote connection settings. Maintaining a runspace pool is helpful for multithreading scenarios where you need to run many scripts at the same time and have control over the throttle settings. In this example we initialize and use a RunspacePool. That way the next cmdlet in the chain can just watch the Output stream and ignore the other streams. In order to differentiate between pipeline objects and other output (errors, warnings, traces, etc), PowerShell writes objects to the different streams (or pipes) for these different types of data. Sidebar: What are PowerShell streams? PowerShell uses Piping (|) to pass objects from one cmdlet to another. However if you need to handle additional stream output (warnings, non-terminating errors, etc), or if you need to execute many scripts simultaneously, this example will demonstrate those usage patterns. The previous example works fine in many simple hosted script scenarios. print the resulting pipeline objects to the console.Ĭonsole.WriteLine(()) Var pipelineObjects = await ps.InvokeAsync().ConfigureAwait(false) execute the script and await the result. specify the parameters to pass into the script. Public async Task RunScript(string scriptContents, Dictionary scriptParameters) / A dictionary of parameter names and parameter values. / Runs a PowerShell script with parameters and prints the resulting pipeline objects to the console output. This is the foundation step for all three of the example scenarios below. NET Core 3.1 with version 6.2.4 of the PowerShell SDK. Then add a package reference to the PowerShell SDK. When Charles Burns did the Levi’s ads that was rad, too. I love that Gary does all the Cranium art, and that Dangle has his work on. But if I like the product then it’s fine. You definitely won’t see my interpretation of the new H4 crawling over the earth, or one of my characters smoking a Camel Light. Now I do some for Hessenmob, and maybe a board for Krooked soon.ĭo you have any moral qualms with using your art to advertise a product? Those graphics really sucked ass, but I loved that I got to do them. I used to do boards for Dogtown back in the early ’90s. Neil Blender and Mark Gonzales are definitely early influences, and I flipped out when I got to be in an art show with Blender and met him some years back. I grew up with skaters, and skate art was a lot of my early influence. All the cement parks here in Oregon are so effin’ nice. I still skate about once a month, when I feel the inspiration and have the time both at the same moment. There is such an eye for craft, and everything looks so good.ĭo you skateboard? Do you feel any connection to skate culture? Now everybody is using Gocco, silkscreening, letterpressing, and hand-binding. You can’t just crap out a 60-page Xerox that you made in an hour and expect folks to dig it. If anything, it has pushed people that do print to make their shit better. I think there is a gap between indie magazines like XLR8R and the little mini-comic, but other than that, the print culture is effin’ great. I laugh when people say that print is dead. I made lots of great friends pre-internet through trading zines and writing letters. How do you feel about the internet’s takeover of zine culture as the majority of zines move to the online format? Now if I lived in a banyan tree and rowed my canoe over to the mainland everyday to get a banana shake– that would be auto-bio. My art is more a fantasy of the world I want to live in, rather than any type of direct take on what my life is now. The second is putting down blobs and shapes in paint, and then I see what is coming to the surface, just pulling doo-doo out of my ass through layers until I get something that I really like.ĭo you feel that your art is autobiographical? The first is a roughly penciled piece that I usually work out through a thumbnail and then map out. I do both because I have two ways in which I paint. My works always come from inside my guts, so there is always something floating below the surface. Dripping screws and giant horses.ĭo you paint to convey a theme or direct message, or is it driven more by improvisation and intuition? It seemed that everybody was making art or playing music, and everywhere I looked there was rad shit on the walls. I would skate and hang out with broham Chris Johanson. My friend Jimbo and I would make Super 8 films and draw goofy characters. I met loads of rad artists at that time who were also getting their footing. What artists inspired you as you found your own style?Īfter I graduated high school, I moved to San Francisco in ’89. These days, all I do is draw and paint, and sometimes sculpt or make comics and zines. I started getting asked to be in shows, and so I learned how to paint. I think making Ain’t Nothin’ Like Fuckin’ Moonshine made me lots of art friends. XLR8R: How did you first get into the work you do now? All this from a man who vows he “didn’t go to no fancy art school.” When he’s not boasting about his Lego collection (which exceeds 200 lbs) or his love for tapirs, Spoons embraces modern zine culture and moody metal. Avidly involved with zine-making, painting, and more recently, toy-making, he still finds time to hang out with his wife of 13 years, Marny, and their daughter, nine-month-old Hazel Millie Spoons. Today, the Portland-based artist is immersed in many different projects. This quickly led to illustration work for the likes of Nike 6.0, Hewlett-Packard, Nickelodeon, Top Shelf, Dogtown, Hessenmob, Buster Design, and Vans. Finding art-making a good way to meet people, he first got into zine culture in 1992 and went on to publish notable rags like Ain’t Nothin’ Like Fuckin’ Moonshine and Pencil Fight. Spending most of his time alone, he found solace in zany Hanna-Barbera cartoons like Underdog and Wacky Races and in the pages of MAD Magazine. A few years later, he failed the first grade and his family moved back to California. Born in LA, Bwana Spoons moved to Michigan when he was three. No matter what medium, the playful surrealism of Spoons’ work is marked by sincere abandon and a love of exploration. I make art.Like some bizarre, forest-dwelling cartoon character, Bwana Spoons exists in a world of his own. I make toys, and design shoes, bust the occasional illustration, or work on an installation. I am a painter, and half jack of many other trades. On our walk back to the campsite, my husband called, telling us that we should meet him at the golf course. Lighter in our heels and able to enjoy the puffin experience of the Trust from behind the glass, we made our way through, saying hello to the puffins and belugas who had been rescued much like our new little friend that morning. We followed him in and watched as they weighed and checked in the little puffling. He told us what we already knew – as the stage 5 puffin clingers we were – that he was now going to bring the puffling to the conservatory to be evaluated. Most common Sears parts that need replacing on Craftsman power washers If the engine continues to run smoothly instead of bogging down after several minutes, then you'll likely need to replace the unloader valve. Start the engine and hold the wand trigger down so water flows freely out of the wand. Stop the engine and remove the nozzle from the tip of the wand. Try this test to see if a bad unloader is causing the engine to lose power. The engine bogs down when it struggles to run the pump. A failed unloader valve won't recirculate water back to the pump inlet, so pump outlet pressure builds up, making it harder for the engine to run the pump. If the engine starts and runs fine for several minutes but then loses power, the unloader valve may have failed.Replace the carburetor if it's too dirty to clean. If the carburetor is gummed up, the engine loses power, so check the carburetor and rebuild it if necessary. The engine also needs clean, fresh gasoline, so replace the fuel in the gas tank if the fuel is older than 3 months. The engine requires an adequate supply of clean air to run properly, so replace the air filter if it's dirty. We ended up holding the bag while we got started and then placing it down on the ground the washer continued to work. How to fix your Craftsman pressure washer when the engine loses power We considered hanging the bladder from a branch or a ladder, but we couldn’t find a branch nearby, and getting out a ladder merely meant involving another piece of equipment to supplement the supposedly quick and easy approach of a cordless tool. (The quick-start guide shows the bladder sitting on a mysterious opaque cube.) Five gallons of water weighs over 40 pounds, and while we were trying to clean a remote side of a house, we struggled to find any way to position the bladder higher than the washer and to keep it anywhere near as close to where we needed it to be. But the instructions say to position the bladder 20 inches above the washer motor while the machine is in use, and accomplishing this is not easy. To do this, you fill the bladder with water and connect it via the included tube. You can attach the RY40PW01DG9 to a hose, as you can do with any pressure washer, but it also offers something more: Because it comes with a compatible 5-gallon water bladder, this Ryobi model can be completely untethered from both an outlet and a hose. Other competitors come with two or three brackets to wrap the hose or cord around, and these pieces do keep the hose or cord tucked away, but they’re tedious to loop, and the tight wind tends to give hoses and cords a memory, so they’re less likely to sit flat in use. A few other models have something similar, but the Ryobi design is the only one that has a small attached bungee to secure the power cord once you’ve hooked it. (It also helps that the hose on this Ryobi washer is of a higher quality than many of its competitors’ hoses.) The power-cord storage similarly consists of a single hook on the side of the handle that’s about as basic as it gets, but it’s really simple to use: Just loop the cord as you would any extension cord and hook it. Unlike on the hose reels we saw on competitors, the gently looped hose on this Ryobi model isn’t strained, and when you need to use the hose, it lies flatter than any hose stored on a reel. We like this design because it doesn’t confine the hose to a tight loop in any way. A simple Velcro strap at the handle holds the looped hose. The cord and hose storage is also excellent.
For example, you may be looking for new guns, and as the werewolf-afflicted character Desidério Ríos, you'll head to the town of Grackle to get some new gear. It's an interesting story that forces the player to have to adapt to new playstyles frequently, as Jane Bell's strengths with firearms and as a upstanding law abiding official is vastly different to how the Pigman tale unfolds, where you're a far more capable melee combatant and also unwelcome in a large proportion of settlements, due to the reputation that the ghastly and savage pigmen people have. Essentially, as the player you'll learn some overarching pieces of information during the first story with the bounty hunter Jane Bell, then a bit more during the Pigman tale, then something else during the Native American, Across Waters' story, and so on. It's a strange storyline that is rooted by a mysterious encounter at its centre that unravels and makes sense as you reach the end of the core narrative. The way the characters are connected is through a supernatural bond, one where the player experiences the narrative seamlessly, but the characters become independent once you move on from their tale. The storyline is essentially split up between these five characters, with each character's arc being a defined chapter in the grander narrative. The idea behind Weird West is to lead five unique yet interconnected characters through their respective storylines, all set in the Weird West, a sort of supernatural take on the Wild West. |
